INFOS by Nigel Price ".Dear Bob, I was browsing through your wonderful competition cars web site and came across one of the cars I used to own and race. That was Aston Martin DB3S no. 7 (63EMU). I have no idea if it is of interest, but your history ends when Brian Hetreed was trying to sell EMU through the Chequered Flag. In fact I bought it in a deal brokered by Mario Condivi of Chipstead Motors. For precisely 1000 pounds I bought EMU from Brian, plus a Jaguar Mk VII tow car and a trailer made from a caravan chassis........................... Old racing cars were cheap in those days!! Some friends of mine, envious at the fun I was having, also bought DB3Ss - Clive Aston bought DB3S No 5 (625PAP) as it was then registered, and Tom Rose bought DB3S No 10. (MRA in those days) We spent two or three extremely happy years as very amateur racers before Tom moved on to the Aston Martin project cars, and I sold EMU to a friend called Wilcox after which EMU passed through several hands before ending up with Pilkington. (I quit racing when Brian Hetreed was killed at Nurburgring - he was a very close friend and his death put me off racing for many years) The price had dropped to £1365. Since then DB3S/7 With Richard Pilkington.
